On June 4, H.E. Amb. Guo Haiyan met with H.E. Gideon Mung’aro, Governor of Kilifi County.

Amb. Guo noted that Kilifi County is an important  participant in the friendly cooperation between China and Kenya. She expressed China’s readiness to work with Kenya to implement the outcomes of President Ruto’s visit to China and the important consensus reached by the two heads of state, and to deepen cooperation in areas such as tourism and investment.

Governor Mung’aro introduced that Kilifi has both beautiful beaches of Indian Ocean and world cultural heritage sites, and welcomes more Chinese travellers with open arms, and Kilifi's special economic zone seeks increased Chinese investment for mutual benefit and win-win cooperation.
